Responsibilities

The Department of Public Works (DPW) is headed by the Superintendent of Public Works and includes the Parks Department, Water & Sewer Department, and the Streets Department.

  • The Parks Department is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all Borough-owned parks, playgrounds and municipal properties. 
  • The Water & Sewer Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipal-owned sewer collection system, and the municipal-owned potable water system. 
  • The Streets Department is responsible for general road maintenance and maintenance of DPW vehicles and equipment.
  • All three (3) DPW Divisions assist in special projects, community events and snow removal operations.
