Promoting Diversity in Law Enforcement Recruiting and Hiring

Pursuant to the December 2022 Attorney General Guideline "Promoting Diversity in Law Enforcement Recruiting and Hiring," the Manasquan Police Department is committed to doing all that we can to hire staff who reflect the community we serve.  2022 Census Data indicates that Manasquan’s population is 93% White, 6% Hispanic, and 1% American Indian. 

As of January 1, 2024, the Manasquan Police Department has 17 full-time officers. The Manasquan Police Department employees are 94% white and 6% hispanic. The employees are 94% male and 6% female. 

Through job fares, such as the outreach event held by the Monmouth County Chiefs of Police at Brookdale Community College we will continue to strive to seek diverse applicants to join our department.
