Items accepted at recycling center:
Magazines, junk mail (including envelopes), greeting cards, gift wrap, catalogs, books, (paperback & hard covered), paper (white & computer), and phone books **must not be contaminated with food, wax, dirt, mud or any other substance**
Corrugated Cardboard- must not be contaminated with food, wax, dirt, mud or any other substance.
Large appliances, electronics, and scrap metal (Proof of Residency is Required) (ex.: washer/dryer, refrigerator, hot water heater, grill, stove, bikes, and all metal furniture)
Leaves- drop off and place loose in leaf bin
All newspaper-for-recycling drop-off should be made in the mixed paper dumpster at the Public Works yard located on Iroquois Road.
Items not accepted at recycling center:
Bulk and building materials
Grass, tree branches, or other yard rubbish
Propane tanks- full or empty- take to County Hazardous Waste Facility or return to gas suppliers/vendors.
Paint cans- must be empty and dry- dispose in regular household trash or take to County Hazardous Waste (732) 683-8686 ext. 5210
Household batteries- dispose in regular household trash
No cardboard if contaminated with food, grease, etc.
No glass (ex.: windows, doors, mirrors, picture frames, etc.)

LIMIT: Up to 20 gallons of liquid and 220 lbs of dry material per visit. Liquid containers limited to 5 gallon size
maximum. Solid packages limited to 50 lb. weight maximum.
