East Main Street Paving Project -COMPLETED

Phase 1, 2 & 3

Main Street

The Main Street Paving Project includes road resurfacing, flood mitigation and drainage improvements on Main Street between the bridge and the NJ Transit Railway.  Due to available funding, the project has been broken down into three phases.  Phase 1, highlighted in green above, begins just west of the Main Street Bridge and extends west to approximately Jackson Avenue.  Phases two and three will continue the project westward to the NJ Transit railway.

Funding:

Phase 1 (green): Manasquan has secured $350,000 in NJDOT municipal aid 

Phase 2  (blue): Manasquan has secured $290,000 in NJDOT municipal aid

Phase 3 (blue): Manasquan has secured $310,000 in NJDOT municipal aid

Schedule & Updates:

This project has been awarded to Meco, Inc.  with work to begin on or about March 9, 2020.  This project is expected to be completed on or about June 5, 2020 and will require periodic closing of thru-traffic on E. Main St. during the work-day (8am to 5pm) During these closures, traffic will be detoured to Stockton Lake Boulevard and Brielle Road*. (*Note – the Glimmer Glass Bridge gross vehicle weight limit is 3 tons).  No work will take place on weekends, Good Friday or Memorial Day.  Please direct questions to tflarity@manasquan-nj.gov.
