As residents of Monmouth County, your citizens can enjoy more than 13,000 acres of open space and over 4,000 recreational programs offered by the Monmouth County Park System. From woodland trails and wetland/coastal habitats to golf courses and environmental centers, our facilities appeal to all ages, abilities, and interests. As a complement to local municipalities’ parks and recreation programs, Park System activities such as summer theatre, county-wide birding expeditions, and specialized camps designed for children with disabilities, offer recreational opportunities that may not be available at the local level.
