Manasquan Seniors is a group of 55 plus men and women who live in and around Manasquan who get together for socialization, lectures, trips, entertainment, and activities. The organization is an arm of Manasquan Recreation, and was organized in 2005.
NEW MEMBERS are always welcome.
Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month, except July and August. They are at 12:00 PM at St. Denis School Cafeteria, Virginia Avenue. Usually snacks and beverages are provided and are announced via a written and mailed newsletter each month.
There is a good variety of things to do throughout the year. Singles Out is a dining out for lunch or dinner program for those who do not ordinarily have the opportunity to do so. Shuffleboard is played outdoors at Curtis Park Mondays at 10 AM. Bocce is played Thursday's at 10 AM behind police HQ. Game and Activity Day is Fridays at 1 PM at the Atlantic Ave. DCI building. Theatre Out is in cooperation with our local Algonquin at various times. Other trips are planned throughout the year. The Berry and Craft Festival is run by the seniors on the first Sunday of August in the town Plaza. Other programs are always being added.
